CHICAGO ASSOCIATION OF RAJASTHANIS IN AMERICA

Celebrate Rajasthani Culture

About

Founded in 1994, the Association of Rajasthanis in America, a nonprofit organization, has been committed to bringing a community of both younger and older generations together to celebrate a unique blend of culture originating in the state of Rajasthan in India. Recently, the ARA has experienced unprecedented growth and a revival of interest from its members and is now well on its way to becoming a prestigious organization that helps illustrate the meaning and importance of the roots that define its members.
Three important events make up the cornerstone of this organization: a Holi festival, a Diwali celebration, and a summertime picnic. With recent expansion, the ARA has high aspirations for the possibility of even more events in the future. It also provides a great opportunity to meet new people and become a part of a strong community.

Our Mission
One of the main purposes of this organization is to re-expose the younger generation of Rajasthanis to their rich heritage and its significance. Using a strong base of members who understand their culture and take pride in it, the ARA hopes to continue to pass down the Rajasthani values and traditions to the younger generations in an effort to preserve an exceptional culture.
The ARA has many other objectives that it hopes to accomplish in the near future. These include charity events, fundraisers to help with the water shortage in Rajasthan, health fairs to promote the health and welfare of Rajasthanis, other annual events to strengthen the unison of the community of Rajasthanis in Chicago.
